UPDATE: April 18 2022 #GetFoundFaster
The basic tenets of this post are still in effect.. It is Tip #1 that has some new information.
The 1st Tip(Hack) in the images below has some important changes...
It's about your Google My Business Listing. Now, there are a few more options, where you can access this information.
You now have the opportunity to access your GBP from both Maps and Search (In photo). you can edit your profile directly from the search page ( also on maps) and there is one other simple change. Your profile has a new name: Google Business Profile.(GMB is now GBP)
It used to be very difficult for people to find where they could change their information for the GMB listing. In fact a lot of people never knew they could manage the listing. I believe this is why Google chose to make it that much more accessible. Now all you have to do is type in your business name, either in search or maps and you will see your business and the means to access the info. You have hours, description, photos, videos and more.
You can add a post about your products or services, promote an event, or new information you can ever update your business requirements in light of Covid and other issues that could affect your business. Turn people who find you on Google Search and Maps into new customers with your free Business Profile for your storefront or service area.
According to Shareaholic...
Marketers, publishers and site owners should continue to invest in search. It’s easy to get distracted by the ever-growing list of Social Networks, but at the end of the day, search will continue to be the largest and most efficient traffic driver in 2018. The lack of fragmentation in Search also makes the return on your efforts even more apparent as you only need to focus on one or two platforms.
There are many little tweaks and tips you can quickly implement to help Google 'get' the relevance and quality of your website pages.
Taking the time to implement these little 'hacks' can really make you stand out... in a good way! Start with only one or add all three. What are the little value added items you know that can help to get your website or blog found faster in search for more of your choice keyword phrases?
