LinkedIn Scam Alert

New Notable Online, Did You Know?, Integrate & Optimize Info, LinkedIn, Social Media

The following is a LinkedIn post from this morning. I had a client reach out via email asking if this was a viable notice.  It's important to look for the telltale signs of a phishing or scam email.

There is no name in the salutation. Any social media app like LinkedIn or Facebook will always address you by your name

See samples of email headers at the bottom of the page

The email headers below are the real deal. Facebook and LinkedIn have addressed the email to me using my first name. One is a customer service email response and the other is a sales message.
NOTE both contain my first name.
